Fun For All

So, our weekend trip to the Chilhowie Apple Festival was cut short by the rain that came in on Saturday morning. But, we didn't mind. As you can see, fun things were in store for us anyway...

Fun Expedition in Johnson City at 10:00am when they first open is THE PLACE TO BE... We had the place to ourselves and the girls had the best time...

And when we returned home, it was time for dinner with friends.  You know, one of those last minute things that you pull out of your hat and ends up being one of the most enjoyable evenings you have had in a long time. Yes, that is the kind of dinner we had tonight. Yummy....

The Bean and her good buddy in a parked car..together. Hope they enjoy it now, cause there won't be any of it in future years, right Brandy??
Yep, rain brought the day in, but it ended with sunshine and smiles.

Oh, for the record ladies and gentlemen, it isn't a party until Goldilocks and the Three Bears show up. He is SO going to kill me for this later on. Love it....

Our Bub Bub

One of my most favorite times of the day is when I give the Bean and Bear their Bub Bub. We sit and talk. We splash. And we play with our new favorite thing... Soap

The Bean sure does like her new set of teeth...

Bubbles are a must in the bub bub and we know how to use them. They make the best "Santa Beards" as the Bear says.

And the Bean, well, she isn't so sure about them. Her sister is still trying to convince her they make her look like Santa.

I know a day will come when they don't want to share the bub bub, but for now, we are splashing suds and taking names one bub bub at a time.

That Old Fence

While organizing my photos a few days ago, I realized something. In almost every out door photo taken here at our home, there is one familiar object that stands out. The old fence that surrounds our house

Which makes sense. Nearly 30 years old, it has surrounded and protected this wonderful home that has now had two owners. The first of which were Paul and Mary Blevins. And now, their son, his wife(me) and his Bean and Bear. Don't get me wrong, there are MANY things I love about the house. The fact that the Bear sleeps in her Daddy's old room. The stories I hear about all the fun times. But this old fence, well, it completes this house and it has so much history.

Just take a look for yourself. History in the making...

That old fence sure does make the perfect playground for a couple of monkeys..

And it lines the path we travel every day..

And sweet babies have been cuddled endless times in front of that old fence..

And that old fence doesn't know it yet, but this Christmas, you will be able to see it from a mile away as Andy has promised to make it look like it has in years past.

Changing Colors

How can you not love them.....And I think this needs to be my new Header Picture, don't you? Yes, I do.

I love this time of year...

And we are so ready for this...

We have a fun fall trip planned along with a pumpkin patch field trip for the Bear. I have waited so long to say I am taking my child on a field trip. I.CAN'T.WAIT. We will be joined by Daddy and the Bean. So, be watching for those pictures, because you know there will be pictures.

Oh, and the Bear isn't afraid of the horse swing anymore. Thank goodness. He was getting very lonely...

Hope your weekend is wonderful and full of fall things. Make some chili beans or buy some mums. It's time my friends!!

Trying it out....

So, I have found this new love for photography and I am overwhelmed at what to do with all of these pictures. So, I first decided to start scrapbooking and now I am going to blog about them and post them. This is also an opportunity to journal all the funny things my children say and do. Yes, my mother is so proud. I have two wonderful subjects to photograph and catching their growing up moments is bringing me such joy. So, here we go. Can't promise you pages of writing, but I will promise to keep you up to date on what the Blevins family has going on.
