Sweet Day

It isn't over yet. But, if the afternoon is half as wonderful as the morning, I am one blessed momma.

Today was the Bear's pre-school Easter party/egg hunt. When dropping her off this morning, the Bean decided she would like to stay and be a pre-schooler too. After a bit of hesitation and much coaching from Ms. Brandi and Ms. Carol, I obliged. I am so glad I did. It was good for both of us. The first thirty minutes or so I felt this weird sense of doing something wrong. Little did I know, she was feeling just right.



We snacked, we sang and to end our morning at pre-school, we did the ultimate favorite. Hunting Easter eggs. These kids are so awesome and special. Their little group is just so close. They get along so well and they welcome little sisters with open arms. I just can't say enough about this wonderful place. The fun stuff they do is continuous. The best part is that these teachers are also there to educate them on the true meaning of Easter. It is certainly our job as parents to teach this, but thankfully we have these wonderful educators to reinforce it.

We have a fun package arriving today. It will bring lots of fun to our place and hopefully put smiles on two little girls I know!

Favorites

There have been many favorites this weekend, but I am tired and I ache from all the fun. From my face to my feet. It has truly been wonderful!

5. Progressive Dinners with an awesome Sunday School class. First Friends, thank you for the good fun, amazing fellowship and hilarious games.

Again, those are just a few. It has been such a refueling weekend. From faith to family time. Much needed on both parts.

We start swimming lessons this week and can't wait for a fun play date.

Glue Guns and Facebook

My family would tell you that I am hooked to both. I sorta kinda am. It is so easy to upload pictures to facebook and just jot a few words down about them. I kind of thought I would just let blogging go a bit. But, my mom said she missed my posts the other day. That made me feel so good. Even though they see us weekly, Grandmas and Nanas still like to catch up. So, we shall catch up.

Yes, I finally joined facebook. Andy and I, I should say. We are enjoying it. Laughing, catching up with old friends. Supporting and praying for friends. It is a pretty neat thing, actually. I even went beyond that and joined Pinterest. Wow, I never thought I would have to designate computer time for myself like I do TV time for my kiddos, but I do. Addicting is the best word to describe it.

But, I have found some super cute ideas and went out and bought me a glue gun. Oh yeah. That plus the cricket my mom loaned me. Well, someone might have gone a little overboard. HA! I can't really help it. I hang out with one talented and crafty chick. She has such an eye for decor and putting things together. I am learning so much from her! Shoot, up until last week, I didn't even know what ric rac was. thanks brandy...









We are gearing up for spring here. The snow is just a special treat. This swing set is no longer with us. Saying goodbye was sorta sad for me. I will never forget the day that Andy put it together. I drove up our driveway and saw the same house, just a little bit better. There, in the side yard was a swing set. Something I had dreamed I would have in my yard one day. Two little girls have laughed and climbed and shared great stories on this swing set. Don't fear, a new one is coming! And with it will be new stories and new giggles. I just know it!



My week is brings lots to look forward to. I get a girls night out to rock our Jesus in Johnson City Thursday  with Casting Crowns. I can't wait!

Saturday, we are part of a fun Progressive Dinner with our Sunday School class. It is going to be so much fun! Food and fellowship is certainly something Andy and both enjoy!

Randomness

Today has been a good day. We had a play date this morning followed by a sweet, quiet afternoon nap. Myself included. It was wonderful. The three of us cuddled up, breathing in sync. I love those moments.

We all woke about the same time and realized that the weather outside was calling our names. It kind of felt silly bringing out the bikes this time of year, but mother nature has been on our sides and has delivered some wonderful, mild temperatures for us to put them to good use. We spent a good hour and a half outside playing today and could have stayed longer, but baths and dinner awaited. The bedrooms really need to be cleaned. They need to be put back together actually. My Bear asked before we headed out "Mom, don't we need to clean our rooms before we play outside". I replied to her without hesitation. "No, not this time. The warm day will soon fall and it will be dark and cold. There is plenty of time for cleaning our rooms then". I will remember that smile she gave me forever.

I know spring is technically 30 some days away, but we have always been ones to do things early, so bring it on. It feels good to think about it. It feels good to be outside enjoying the fresh air. It feels good to just be with them.

Ladies and Gentlemen...

Wow. What a fantastic show. What a fun weekend all around. We took off Friday afternoon and stayed in NC taking in the circus and just relaxing. All of it was great, but the show, well it was awesome. I haven't been to the circus in years. Lots of years actually. The girls enjoyed it, but I honestly think Andy and I enjoyed it more.

It was actually more than one little Bean could take.


But after a short nap, we were up and ready to go! We aren't sure, but we think she may have found her calling.


So intense. This was the way they stayed most of the show.


Just a great, short family get away for us. We got to just be together and that was the best part!

A Dora Party!

Our Bean wanted a Dora birthday, so a Dora Birthday she got. Will all the fixins' I might add!! Thank you to friends and family for helping, supporting and loving our Bean as much as we do! It was big fun and we are still playing Dora today. From Dollhouses to big wheels to large coloring books to ballerinas. Even Dora presents from miles away! You can get just about anything in Dora these days. I can't imagine there is anything left on the shelf at the store that we don't have. Seriously...

She was the center of attention and she knew it. Her cake was precious and tasted amazing! I still can't believe she is three, but I know that she will continue to grow and become that special someone I know she is.
















This girl just loved everything about her sisters day!





So, we wait another year, trying to enjoy every moment of her being three. The time just goes so fast. The days come and go at lighting speed these days. It would be OK with me if time would just stop, really..

We have a fun family get away to the Circus and a two night retreat with just Andy and I and some friends to look forward to this month. A family fun night with church and two more birthdays to celebrate. I can't wait for all of it!
